Father's Day Gift Card

Hello friends, family and anyone passing by, my post today is a Father's Day gift card using a Silhouette cutting file by Lori whitlock and can be found HERE in the Silhouette Store.

I used papermilldirect white linen, pale turquoise, daffodil yellow and buff cardstock, and made the pattern on the tie and shirt with stencils and distress inks.  A very quick and easy card with a pocket to hold a gift card, event tickets or just a tag with a greeting.

More Father's Day ideas can be found on the papermilldirect blog and don't forget to check out the special offer page for something different this week.  The special offer is not card or paper but a set of 20 Staedtler Noris Club Fibre Tipped Pens for only £6.25.

Inspired by Pinterest

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the sunshine and finding time to do some crafting.  Today I have my DT card for papermilldirect where our theme is Inspired by Pinterest.

MIX14 One more by Biggan - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers:
This is the card that inspired me and further details can be found HERE

I don't have the daisy die but have seen it a few times used on cards,  I cut out my daisy on the Silhouette using a cutting file from the Silouette store - leaning sunflowers.  I used  texture paste through a memory box stencil and colourd small areas with wild honey distress ink before mounting the daisy.  I do find it difficult stamping onto texture paste and stamped the Clearly Besotted sentiment on as much card as I could.  The edges of the buff card were blended with distress ink and then it was mounted on a papermilldirect white linen card blank.

Have you seen papermilldirect's giveaway this week?  A pack of 145gsm parchment paper in a lovely natural hue is up for grabs and you have until Sunday 22nd May to enter, so pop over to the papermilldirect blog  and leave a comment to be in with a chance to win.

Mustache and Monocle

Hello friends, followers and family, today I have my papermilldirect design team project, a father's day card made using the Silhouette and a cutting file by Samantha Walker called mustache and monocle which I bought from the Silhouette store.

I used papermilldirect white linen and black cardstock for this fun card with a  digital sentiment from Pinkpetticoat (which unfortunately is no longer available).  I added the googly eyes to the card to make it more fun and doubled up the bowler hat to give the card more substance.

You will find more Father's Day card ideas on the papermilldirect blog created by the design team .

There is an offer this week of A4 natural parchment paper 245gsm over at papermilldirect - 20 sheets £3.50 or 50 sheets for £7.00 - there is limited stock so be quick if you want some.

Blue and Cream Gate Fold Card

Evening all, today I have my DT card for Papermilldirect we are making gate fold cards this week.  I don't usually make gatefold cards except for wedding invitations so was drawn to this card which I think would do for any occasion, and I do love butterflies.

As I have not had my Silhouette Cameo out for a while I thought I would make my card from a cutting file by Daniela Angelova  purchased from the Silhouette Store.  This is such a pretty cutting file and would be gorgeous for wedding invitations in any colour or anniversaries, maybe red and cream for a ruby anniversary.

I cut the butterflies and floral panels from papermilldirect ivory linen cardstock and cut a square insert to add my greeting, the base card was cut from papermilldirect Marine blue cardstock, this is such a pretty blue it goes so well with the ivory linen.

To add a little interest I cut two butterflies for the fastening and stamped both the card and top  butterfly with broken china distress ink using Indigo Blu's Floral Swirl FS1.  The insert was stamped with a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Fancy Sayings sentiment stamps.

Did you see the papermilldirect newsletter on the 29th April? Exciting news of changes at the Mill and also a competition for 4 participants to win some goodies.  There is still time to enter, details are on the blog HERE and you have until midnight on 8th May to enter.
