Cards For The Boys and a craft room sneak peek

Hi everyone, I have been sorting out my stamps as part of my craft room reorganisation with the intention of using some of the long forgotten ones hidden at the bottom of boxes.  There is not much more sorting to do and I am pleased with the space created by putting the tall units on their sides, giving me more flat space for working.  Here is a sneak peek..

I have made two male cards this week using Sizzix mixed media dies and black, white and navy papermilldirect card.

This card was made using a Banksy inspired stamped image  Bee Crafty - Ghetto Rat.  It was stamped onto a small piece of inked background and layered up onto die cut card and a black card blank.  The sentiment was computer generated.

For the above card the die cut card was matted onto a distress oxide blended background then onto a navy card blank.  The corners stamped with Stampers Anonymous Urban Chic stamps in blue ink.  The Hero Arts die sentiment was cut out three times from navy card, layered together then added to a strip of white card with a stamped birthday sentiment.  The strip was backed with navy card and added across the center of the card.

Back soon with more makes.

Collage Word Tag Card

Hello everyone, today I have a tutorial over on the papermilldirect blog using two collage word stamps I bought recently.   I thought these stamps would make lovely CAS cards especially for men and teenagers who don't want cards which are too fussy. The tutorial shows how I used these stamps to make a tag birthday card and gives a few other ideas which are shown at the end of the tutorial.

In my last post I made a black and white card using the smaller stamp, I wanted to make a card using both stamps and with a little more colour, the result was the tag card above.

Materials I used for the cards:

Below are the other cards I made using  the stamps, the black and white CAS card from my last post and a black and white card using both stamps.  I liked the tag card so made it up in another colour and varied it slightly.

For full details of how I made the cards pop over to my tutorial on the papermill blog.

I enjoyed using these stamps and will be keeping them handy for use in future projects.
