Craft Goodies Have Arrived

What a busy time of year, I have been busy making Christmas cards for friends and myself.  The time goes so quickly, here we are in December and rushing towards Christmas.

Well what an exciting month November was.  I received a parcel of craft goodies I won in a magazine competition, a cheque for winning the Pinkpetticoat Christmas Tree Card competition and found out I won second place in National Cardmaker of the Year 2011's Stampendous category (the card in my previous post), looking forward to receiving my prize for this.

Most of the Christmas shopping is done so next week I will be wrapping presents, planning for Christmas week and cleaning out my kitchen cupboards, so not much time for crafting.  I also need to put up my new units and desk in my workroom before we have any visitors but don't know when I will have the time.

Hope to post some photos of Christmas cards just to let you know what I have done this year if I can find a spare hour or two over the weekend.

Thinking of Christmas

What a miserable day it is here today, have spent the day thinking about Christmas.  Most of the presents are bought and all my Christmas cards for friends and family are made and have been written, except the childrens' cards which I am still working on.

My week of using rubber stamps instead of digi images went really well.  I enjoyed myself and have made a dozen lovely cards.  Unfortunately some of my ink pads had dried up and some embossing powder didn't work well but at least I managed to have a clear out of my stamping box (leaving room for new goodies I  can ask for at Christmas).

I did want to post a picture of the cards along with a picture of digi image cards but it is so dark I haven't been able to do so, maybe tomorrow there will be a little brightness.  The picture below is a stamped and 3D card I did earlier in the year using a stamp I bought years ago.

Enjoying some Me Time

Having a rest this week doing what I want to do.  No visitors this weekend so out come the rubber stamps and heat gun.  I haven't used rubber stamps for ages so the digi stamps are locked away in the computer until I come up with a good selection of hand stamped cards.

My latest card using digi images was for my grandaughter Evie's birthday (5), she loved the fairy and butterflies.  Other birthdays this month include my son who loves growing his own veg, thought the frog was aproppriate and my friend who I know likes fairies.

Have lots of new Christmas cards ready but don't know when I will get them photographed, friends and family get in touch if you want cards making and I will get photos organised, or even samples if you are lucky!

Going off to rummage in my stamp box, who knows what I will find.
