Good afternoon everyone, thought I would post a picture of the naming day card I made yesterday, as mentioned in my Killer Heels post. A friend rang me and asked if I would make a naming day card for her and of course I said yes, little did I know she wanted it for today. The brief was a card for a little girl who lived on the coast and went to the beach each day, also my friend wanted a vintage feel to the card. Well everyones idea of vintage is different but she said she would leave it to me. Thinking cap on I came up with this.
I used some lovely cream textured card from Papermill Direct, brown Stazon ink and Kraft card. The stamps are some of my favourites by Crafty Individuals. The words were printed in brown using the computer, then I stamped the images, cut the card to size and added a ribbon with the net tied in with the knot. Some pearls and crystals were added with my heat wand being very careful not to melt the net, the finished panel was layered onto the kraft card and then onto the 15cm x 15cm card blank.
The insert was printed with a poem provided by my friend and I stamped the seahorse and shells on it too. I managed to get a quick photo before it was whisked away.
Back to the housework now, see you on Monday with my Crafty Bloggers Network DT card and August challenge details.
