Hello to all my friends and followers, hope you have all been keeping warm this week during the cold spell. Nothing for it but to stay in and keep warm and craft, the weather here has warmed up now but still a little wet.
Here is my weekly papermilldirect design team make, this week we are concentrating on Valentine gift bags and boxes. You can also win a bundle box of spring coloured card over the next few days by liking and commenting on the papermilldirect facebook page. For my valentine makes this year I have a liking for red, buff and black colours, more suited for the man in your life than red, pink and girly. Maybe I will try some red, pink and girly next week, we will see.
I made this box using my Scor-Pal, it is rather satisfying scoring some lines, cutting some tabs and putting together a box. I used papermilldirect buff card on which I stamped Oak House Studio's double daisy stamp and embossed with their red embossing powder. I also stamped and embossed three daisies onto papermilldirect Christmas red card and cut them out to paperpiece some of the daisies on the box. The daisies were masked and hearts from the PaperArtsy Eclectica3 stamp set were stamped over the box and a heart stencil was used with vermillian pigment ink to fill in the bare patches.
The lid was lined with red card with a little showing below the lid edge and the handle was attached with brads which had been coloured red with embossing powder.
The tag was cut using Sizzix Tim Holtz Elisse tags die, it was stamped and paperpieced the same as the box.
it's beautiful Sylv.
