Good morning friends and followers, my DT card for papermilldirect this week is an anniversary card using cream linen cardstock and brown ink, a splash of colour was added using distress inks.
A card blank 15cm x 15cm was made with papermilldirect cream linen cardstock. The image was stamped directly onto the cream linen card blank using sepia Archival ink, this was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The image was coloured randomly with distress inks in abandoned coral, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber. The sentiment was stamped with the sepia ink and heat embossed too.
The butterfly was die cut and dry embossed, I used a brayer to roll sepia ink over the raised areas of the embossing and heat embossed to highlight the butterfly wings. The butterfly was then coloured with distress markers in abandoned coral, spiced marmalade and fossilized amber and mounted below the stamped image using 3D foam pads.
Materials used:
Archival ink in Sepia
Stampers Anonymous stamp set Classics#3
Distress inks and markers
Oak House Studio clear embossing powder
Tim Holtz/Sizzix Butterfly Duo - die and embossing folder
Sentiment was a free stamp from a magazine
Pop over to the Papermilldirect blog to see what the other DT have been up to this week.
