"What's Cooking? Over At The Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hello friends, followers and family passing by.  Friday again and this week's challenge over at Daring Cardmakers is "What's Cooking", hosted by Joanne.  For extra brownie points try using something from the kitchen in your card making.  For more Design Team inspiration and details of the challenge visit Daring Cardmakers.

This week was another challenge that stretched me, I wanted to do a CAS card with just one image and a sentiment using a cheese related stamp set.  Simple - stamp a cheese, little bit of washi tape or card background and a sentiment.

Things didn't work out like that, I got carried away stamping most of the stamps and putting them together as a cheese board, stamped one of the sentiments onto a circle of card and added at the side of the cheeseboard.  I didn't like how it looked so added some cheese crumbs and then the knife to balance it a bit.

I mounted the stamped panel onto red card and placed it onto a card blank,  it needed something on the background so stamped some cheese crumbs onto the card blank before mounting the stamped panel at an angle. Still didn't like the balance of the card so decided to do some numbers to represent the "age" in the sentiment.

All the  card used is papermilldirect,  white hemp and white linen card.

Sylv xx

  7. I think we all have days where the plan in our heads doesn’t quite match happens in paper! This turned out great in the end though, my hubby would love this (although the age would need changing - lol!)
