Welcome friends, followers and passers by. Today I have a New Baby card made for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge. The challenge theme this week is "Welcome".
I was torn between welcome to your new home or welcome new baby. The baby card won as I am in a pastel colour mood at the moment.
To make the card I made a 15cm square card blank from papermilldirect white linen 255gsm card, matted a 14cm square of white linen onto the card then layered a 13cm square of papermilldirect pink plain 290gsm card onto that.
A smaller 12cm square of white linen was stencilled with a honeycomb stencil and distress oxide inks in spun sugar and scattered straw. I used Sizzix dies Aviary and songbird and a wood grain embossing folder to make up the bird house on the stencilled background, the sentiment was stamped with a free stamp from a craft magazine. The finished panel was layered onto the card and the butterfly and a few few sequins added to finish.
We would love to see your "Welcome" cards so pop over and enter, the challenge runs until Friday when a new challenge will begin.
